Using a screwdriver, release the tabs holding the control board in place and pull it out of the freezer.Ħ. It would help to take a picture of the old control board while it is still installed, so you have a reference.ĥ. Detach all of the wires connecting your control board to the freezer’s other internal components. Unscrew the back panel and locate the faulty control board.Ĥ. Once your replacement control board has arrived, unplug the freezer from the wall and move it enough to access the back.ģ. If not, consider having a professional Kenmore technician come out and do it for you. The process to do this is fairly complex and should only be attempted if you are comfortable removing electrical components from your freezer.
